“3.Angles
The idea of the video has come immediately after seeing the building. I felt how its construction resonates with my movement vision. Consequently, I started to learn about this graceful building.
The construction appeared to be an experimental market. It was built in 1973 by Soviet female architect Alla Onishenko. People dreamed about space flights and a glittering future for everyone in those days. Nowadays, we call this epoch Earlier Soviet Modernism.
All my rehearsals were done with the building. I touched, observed, discovered various forms, and tried to connect with its texture, lines, and soul.
Then I learned that the building was threatened with destruction as many other Soviet modern facilities in our country. The City Council wanted to construct a new shopping mall in its place.
With my dance video, I want to manifest the end of the brutal destroying of our meaningful treasure. I struggle to emphasize its modernity and how it resonates with all tendencies in our world.
I want to support a few public organizations that fight for unique architecture in Ukraine with my art.

“CONSUME” series
This series is a dance manifestation for transforming the instinct of BUYING to an impulse for CREATING. The idea came from my inner decision to stop cluttering and consuming different stuff.
When I was moving to a new apartment, I was shocked how many stuff I had. Clothes I bought from an impulse, wore one time or just collected. I saw a bunch of stuff that actually useless. That insight pushed me to open this question with my art.
The series consists of three conceptual episodes.
Each episode symbolizes different sides of consumerism. I choose a shopping cart and clothes which I don’t wear, but owning, as symbols of my generation`s behavior. The movement describes a funnel of endless buying.
In the third episode I want to emphasize the search for the Emptiness, which in turn can lead to the birth of a new person and new creative mindset.
In my opinion the world is in the point where we should review our thoughts and choices.
LESS CONSUME-MORE CREATE!
